Barbara Eden, 94, Steps Out in Style on Her Birthday — And Fans Are Sending Love from Around the World

Another year, another milestone for Hollywood legend Barbara Eden.

The iconic star of I Dream of Jeannie celebrated her 94th birthday in true style — stepping out in Los Angeles with a fresh look, a full heart, and the same radiant energy that made her a household name over half a century ago.

On August 23, Eden was spotted leaving a hair salon in Studio City, getting into her white car with a smile and a birthday card in hand. Dressed in a vibrant red ensemble — a long-sleeve top, red-and-white skirt, tan sandals, and chic white sunglasses — she looked every bit the timeless beauty fans have adored since the 1960s.

She also carried what appeared to be a red iPad and a black handbag — the look of a woman who’s lived a full life, stayed current, and still enjoys the little luxuries.

The outing wasn’t just a routine errand.
It was a celebration.
A quiet, personal moment on a day that belongs to her.

To mark the occasion, Eden’s official Instagram account shared a heartfelt birthday tribute, featuring a classic photo of her in her signature genie pose — one hand raised, a mischievous glint in her eye, the blue harem outfit that launched a thousand dreams.

“Let’s all take a moment to wish our favorite blonde, entertainment icon, and Hollywood legend Barbara Eden a very VERY Happy Birthday today!” the caption read.
“We invite you to share your birthday wishes for Ms. Eden as she celebrates her 94th!”

The post was met with an outpouring of love.

Fans flooded the comments with messages of gratitude and joy.
Celebrities joined in too — including Jennie Garth, Paris Hilton, and Caroline Rhea — all honoring the actress who brought magic into living rooms across America.

Eden’s journey to stardom began in the 1950s, with a breakout as a sketch performer on The Johnny Carson Show.
But it was her role as the 2,000-year-old genie in I Dream of Jeannie (1965–1970) that made her a legend.

For 70 years, she graced screens and stages, earning a place in Hollywood history.
Though she officially stepped back from acting after turning 90, she’s remained a beloved presence at fan events and conventions.

Even now, she’s amazed at how deeply her work resonates.

On her 92nd birthday, she told People that fans still bring up her one-episode role as a manicurist on The Andy Griffith Show.
Or her brief appearance on I Love Lucy.

“When I was doing it, I didn’t think it would live that long,” she said.
“But people remember. And that’s a gift.”

Eden has known both triumph and tragedy.

She’s been married to her third husband, Jon Eicholtz, since 1991.
But her personal life has been marked by profound loss — the death of her son, Matthew Ansara, at age 35 from a drug overdose in 2001.

Despite the pain, she’s spoken openly about her faith, her resilience, and her deep love for her craft.

“So many people have to work in jobs they hate,” she once reflected.
“But aren’t we lucky when we can do something we love — and know others enjoy it too?”

For Eden, acting wasn’t just a career.
It was a joy, a gift, and a way to connect.

From Spain to Studio City, she continues to live life on her terms.

Just months before her 94th birthday, she was seen in Palma de Mallorca, presenting a campaign with fashion designer Marcel Remus — proof that her sparkle hasn’t dimmed.

And on her special day, as she drove away from the salon, birthday card in hand, it was clear:
Barbara Eden isn’t just celebrating another year.
She’s defining what it means to age with grace, humor, and unshakable star power.

Happy Birthday, Ms. Eden.
The world still believes in magic — because you made it real.
