By the time she was discovered, her condition had severely deteriorated. Her hind legs were completely immobilized, leaving her unable to walk or move properly. She was forced to drag herself along the ground, exposed to the harsh elements and the dangers of life on the streets. Despite the immense pain and challenges she faced, Scooter’s eyes still held a quiet strength—a silent plea for another chance at life.
One of her wounds had become infected and was infested with maggots. Those who found her suspected that she had been attacked by another dog.
Scooter was gently taken to a local animal hospital, where staff treated her for two broken hind legs and her infected wounds. Her journey to recovery was extensive and challenging.
After months of dedicated medical care, love, and rehabilitation, Scooter was finally strong enough to begin the next chapter of her life—a search for a forever home.
Throughout her recovery, she was lovingly cared for by Alexandra Gade, who played a crucial role in her journey back to health.
