This makes me feel like I’m witnessing humanity at its best through these amazing people who came together to save a life.
Kudos to the women who went above and beyond to help this coyote.
She burst into tears when she saw him [st.uc.k] inside the grill on her front bumper. She did everything she could to get him the help he needed. Haverhill Animal Control responded to the call and was able to safely remove the [in.ju.red] coyote from the front bumper of her vehicle.
We were called out last night to triage him. He appears to have two [br.ok.en] legs but is very much alive and has a lot of fight in him. We treated him for [s.h.0.ck], immobilized his [in.jur.ed] legs and worked to get his [pa.in] under control last night.
He will be transferred to another wildlife clinic today – where they will assess the extent of his [in.jur.ies] and have orthopedic surgeons on hand if the [b.re.aks] are treatable.
I’m thankful for the woman who cared enough to stop, get him help and advocate for him after an unavoidable [ac.cid.ent]. I’m thankful to Haverhill Animal Control for quickly rescuing the coyote and I very thankful to our team members who came in last night to help triage him.
